I started playing Sims about the time "Hot Date" came out for Sims 1, so I'm a real old-timer. From the beginning I've also played a themed game, which means I based my neighborhoods around certain stories or time periods and downloaded and later created Custom Content to fit. The main theme I'm been playing since those days of the first Sims has been a hood based of Lord of the Rings. Well, let me be more specific, a game based off The Silmarillion, because if I'm creating a world based off a story, I'm starting at that world's equivalent of the Big Bang. And I like it more.
Since I'm rather fannishly obsessed and if you couldn't tell that world-building is a major passion of mine, I will ramble on about why I've made certain items and how they tie in. You don't have to read them, though I've been told some of my snark is mildly amusing.
So what have I made for the game and am planning to make? Quite a lot, actually. Surprised myself how much.
Recolors of objects. New Object Meshes. Taking other objects meshes and combining them to make a new object. More Object Recolors. Retexturing hairs (tried to do beards too, but so far less successful). A few eye blends. Some make-up. Clothing recolors. Clothing meshes.
Frankly just about everything but hair meshing, skin blending, meshes for Build Mode or any sort of HomeCrafter-related content, and object creation that requires a lot of advanced knowledge of any sort of modding. And I can't promise that won't change. Though, honestly, modding ain't my cuppa tea.
Most of my object recolors I use Pooklet's wood tones and/or iCad. Usually both. I'm a completionist at heart. I also use all of Pooklet's natural color actions (V1 or V2) and the three white/grays for all my hairs. I make far too many.
My posts will come in some variation on three ideas: 'Downloads', 'Work-in-Progress Updates on Projects', and 'Let Me Give You More Info Than You'll Ever Desire About My Game'. Most posts will end up a combination of the three. Once I finally get my 'hood and the various sub-hoods set up as I like them, I'll start posting the story. I'm planning on roughly playing out The Silmarillion, with my own spin. We'll see how my story-telling skills develop, though I warn you this will be my first time, so don't expect Lothere. Expect some strange ideas as I explain where I'm headed, but feel free to suggest ideas and requests. I can't promise anything, but I'm willing to try and I like the idea of exchanges.
TOU: I'm making everything for fun, not profit. I beg and borrow from other creators, so I have no problem with others taking my creations and modifying them for their own purposes. If that was a problem for me I wouldn't have put it up on the internet.

I do ask that you give at least some form of credit.
Don't ask for money from anything. It's against my policy and against the company policy.
I'll be adding links here as I post them from the Keep to this journal. Most of the posts are going to be word for word what I've uploaded at the forum, because hey, I've already went through the trouble of explaining the downloads and I can only be so clever and sarcastic and informative before I wear myself out.
I'll make a proper Index page one of these days, but until then tags are your friend. Or one thing I at least keep those up-to-date.
You can also find a list of all my downloads here.
And because, sheesh, 100 hair files take a lot of space and Mediafire is not the greatest service provider, here's my dropbox referral link for kicks. Free storage.
